Natalia Tilinina was awarded L'ORÉAL-UNESCO National Scholarship in 2019

For a series of studies dedicated to the role of extratropical cyclones in the Earth's climate system, Natalia received an award for young women in science, established by L'Oreal and the UNESCO Foundation.

In 2019, 335 applications were submitted for the competition, of which the jury, headed by Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Professor Alexei Khokhlov, selected 10 winners.

Under the terms of the competition, women scientists, candidates of science under the age of 35, working in Russian scientific institutes and universities in the fields of physics, chemistry, medicine and biology, can become scholarship applicants.
